''Indian'' was a 522-ton merchant ship and convict ship that transported convicts to Australia. She was built at Whitby in 1809. Built of 2 decks, her hull was sheathed in copper, fastened with copper bolts. Under the command of Andrew Barclay, she sailed from England on 18 July 1810, with 200 male convicts. She arrived at Port Jackson on 16 December 1810. Eight male convicts died on the voyage. A detachment of the 73rd (Perthshire) Regiment of Foot was also transported on board the ''Indian''. ''Indian'' left Port Jackson on 24 February 1811 bound for Bengal. ==Notes==
